The Key to the workshop is the online private members area which includes the following:

  • Knowledge: Relevant journals, clinical guidelines and book list all in the area of pregnancy and exercise.Websites and social media resources chosen and used regularly by The Bump Room team.
  • Exercises: All the exercises we use in The Bump Room (approx: 250!). This content is delivered in video format and subdivided into positions and props. Positions include: standing, at the wall, four point kneeling, high kneeling, side lying, long sitting etc. Props include gym ball, theraband and half dome. We also cover use of other small props and partner exercises.

VERY IMPORTANT! It is crucial that the workshop attendees familiarise themselves with the online content before the day of the workshop as there is too much content to cover in one day. Access to the private members area is for three months from initial registration.

This talk covers the most common MSK issues that arise in the classes including exercises and advice given. Pregnancy complications outlined.

Benefits of the Workshop:

The workshop is a one day practical course. The content of this workshop is high quality. It focuses nine years of experience from teaching over 1000 classes with over 5000 women through our online booking system.

The physiotherapists of the bump room have been meeting up for in-house training for the last number of years:

  • to streamline the content of the classes
  • to develop new content and resources
  • to discuss new research & resources and apply to classes

How it works

  • The cost of the one day workshop is €150.
  • Workshop takes place in a modern sports facility, Clarisford Park sports hall, Killaloe, Co. Clare.
  • On payment you will receive a registration link for the private members area.
  • Access to the private members area is for three months.
  • All participants must be Chartered Physiotherapists.
  • Delicious lunch and refreshments are provided on the day from the local Wooden Spoon cafe.

The Bump Room classes are a safe place for mums-to-be to exercise with instructors who are compassionate, professional and connected.  We aim to reassure, encourage and motivate mums-to-be to stay fit, strong and confident to exercise during pregnancy. The classes are reasonably challenging to empower pregnant women about the positive health benefits of exercise in pregnancy.
